Before joining Tonka Financial Services, Rachel worked the last 15 years with adults with disabilities. Rachel earned her master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas focusing on Autism Spectrum Disorders. Her passion is to teach life skills and job skills to help individuals find competitive employment in the community. Due to COVID-19, the non-profit she worked for had to drastically restructure to accommodate the new guidelines and is currently only operating a very limited basis.
Rachel will take on a part-time role within Tonka Financial helping with the day to day business. This will give Rachel the flexibility to also be home with her family as they navigate the school year, in a hybrid model. Rachel resides in Minnetonka with her husband Doug and her step kids Andrew (12) and Ellie (10). They have a 2-year-old Silver Lab name Gus and a cat named Villa. Rachel is the Head Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Chanhassen High School and has been coaching for 19 years. In her spare time, she loves watching the kids play sports, being outside and golfing with the family.
Rachel looks forward to connecting with the clients at Tonka Financial.
A Note from Rachel:
“I am passionate about working and engaging with others. I am excited for my new adventure at Tonka Financial.”
